Very good information about getting back links from edu sites. But I believe currently google is giving more priority to the links from the theme related pages and it will help to rank better if site is crawling frequently.

that is an excellent advice.

i did what you suggested, i get wo the add link page, enter the link to my site and get the following errors:

CGIwrap Error: User not found in passwd file.
ADDRESS NOT FOUND
403: Access Forbidden
500 // The Web server is incapable of performing the request.

have they stopped the script?
or do you have to enter it using any special charachters?

Great Post ….There was a time when the Goggle Algo gave high prominance to websites that linked to .edu and .org . This prominance has lowered since the last few updates , it no longer validates these links high. It give more importance to quality link backs.
