“BlackHat SEO Expert”

There are many sites on finding an ethical SEO expert — so, I decided to write an article on how to find the opposite.

How to find a non-ethical BlackHat SEO-er

First steps; they should be able to do all of the following:

1. Spam
2. Keyword stuffing
3. Use duplicate content and get past the filters
4. Scrape content from a site, and pass original websites with that content (in the SERPs)
5. Contacts you before you contact them
6. Guarantees a #1 ranking
7. Claims to know Matt Cutts

Now, many people hire SEO experts because they generally can achieve a high ranking in the search engines — and thus, resulting in much more traffic to one’s website. Besides these reasons, what would be the point of hiring a BlackHat SEO Expert?

Why?

There’s no reason whatsoever to hire one. They will get your site a boost in the search engine results and then you’ll end up with a penalized website; not to mention after paying some SEO expert thousands of dollars.

Their Claim to Fame

Make sure they rank for SEO (should be in the top one or two pages for this term or other related terms; i.e., Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, Internet Marketing, Search Rankings, etc.).

Google feels that they need to tell you all of the techniques they use, but why would they want to make you a potential competitor?
