Most Effective Stupid Bowl Commercials 2009

When talking to regular people (people that are not marketers or affiliates), the top mentioned commercials were Denny’s and Disney’s 3D commercials:

I didn’t watch all of the commercials but just a few of them.

This is really what shock marketing is about – standing out of the norm. Denny’s gave out a free breakfast to everyone (on Tuesday), and Disney decided to be bold and see how many would actually buy 3D glasses and watch their previews.

There were a few commercials (i.e., GoDaddy, Doritos) that were basically made with the premise, “sex sells” – which is true to a certain extent.  However, when too many companies all go for the same appeal – they all become boring and ineffective.

On another note, I know i couldn’t rank for “Super Bowl” on Google, but “Stupid Bowl” is not too much worst. :)
